Mahamevnawa Monastery is spreading the teachings of the Supreme Buddha throughout Sri Lanka and the world through the following sources:
The majority of programs focus on the spiritual development of the Sri Lankan community worldwide.
The founder of Mahamevnawa Monastery, Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero has translated the Sutta Pitaka from Pali into simple Sinhalese.
The Thero has written more than 80 Dhamma books based on the Buddha’s original teachings.
More than 100 books have been published based on the Thero’s Dhamma talks.
Many CDs and DVDs containing the words of the Buddha are available to the public.
Some of the books have already been translated into English.
The English- and Sinhalese-medium websites are also great resources for studying the Buddha’s teachings.
Shraddha TV, the official TV channel of Mahamevnawa Monastery, spreads the Dhamma to every corner of the island, along with the English YouTube channel Buddhism in English.
Mahamegha magazine, the official magazine of Mahamevnawa Monastery, reaches people every month as a true kalyanamitta (spiritual friend).
